Today was the start of our Montreal adventure!

After navigating through the dancers and their younger brothers at BCA, we met in the Gym for a pre-student meeting at 10.15am. We sat in a circle and introduced ourselves to our crew.

At 10.45am, we departed from BCA and began our journey to Montreal. The bus ride was around 7 hours long. We slept, listened to music, ate snacks, did HW, and mainly chatted with our friends and nearby people for the duration of the trip.

We drove through upstate NY, and this was my favorite pic from the ride:

At around 1pm, we stopped at Crossgate Mall in Albany, NY for a quick lunch break. Many people indulged in the fast food available :P

We hit the road again at 1.45pm, and by 4.30pm, we arrived at the Canadian-US border.

Crossing the border was pretty easy: we were able to make it through within 10 minutes.

We entered the city of Montreal around 40 minutes after passing through the border, and here are some more pics that we got:

*we'll be visiting this building for the AI World Summit on Wednesday and Thursday*

After arriving at our hotel "Spring Suites Marriott", we had an hour to recharge and get ready for our dinner at 3 Brasseurs. We left for dinner at 7.15pm:

Many people had french onion soup, calamari, poutines, flammekueches, and steak.

After a delicious and filling meal, we headed out at 10.15pm.

Initially when we all gathered outside of the restaurant to head back to the hotel, there was a strong gust of wind.

That quickly turned into hail(!) We all darted back to the hotel.

And that's a wrap on Day 1.
