We started off our final day in London by watching The Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace. We enjoyed some live music and were among hundreds of others who had lined up in the morning to see the famous event. Afterwards, we made our way to Harrods where we had High Tea. We enjoyed a really fancy meal and platters of finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries.
Following our great lunch, we headed off to Vodafone where we learned about computational ethics, artificial intelligence, automation and its impact on the job market. A panel of experts from Vodafone gave us a wonderful presentation followed by a tour. We then rushed off to the London Metal Exchange where we managed the catch the closing 20 minutes of the trading day. The shouting of prices and quantities was fascinating and it was one of the last places in the world that continues this practice.
From there, we went to the London Eye. Juniors and Seniors were on separate capsules as we enjoyed one of our last views of London’s breathtaking skyline. This iconic London landmark definitely did not disappoint. Then we went to a food market for dinner, followed by shopping at Harrods and more affordable options.
Our time in London was amazing. We really will miss it!
