Our morning began with a scenic 1.5 hour train ride through the English countryside as we made our way to the city of Oxford. Upon our arrival, we ate lunch on and around High Street (locally known as The High) and in the Covered Market.
After lunch, we were escorted on an admissions tour of Worcester College, one of the 39 unique colleges that make up Oxford University. We also watched an admissions presentation where we learned about the programs available at Oxford and how to apply as an international student.
Then, we toured several other sites on the Oxford campus, including New College (which was founded in 1379 - not so new, huh?), the Bodleian Library, and the Divinity School. Speaking of the Divinity School, our tour guide shared that multiple scenes from Harry Potter were filmed there and at this courtyard displayed below (can you recognize the scene?):
Later in the day, we had multiple opportunities to explore the city and buy souvenirs, before taking the same train back to London. After a quick pit stop at the hostel, we headed to our final dinner in London at the Leman Street Tavern. Some BCA alumni also joined us, and shared their experiences of living, studying, and working in the UK. After eating our fill of fish and chips and other delicacies, we walked back to the hostel, packed up our luggage, and went to bed.
