Theatre Intensive
About
For one full week AVPA/Theatre Juniors and Seniors will experience an intensive immersion into British theatre. Students will see a variety of West End, Off West End, and Fringe shows and visit some of the most famous theatre history sites in the world with a special tour of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and his birthplace in Stratford-Upon-Avon.
Cultural Experiences
London offers a diverse history and many opportunities for cultural exploration. Some of the experiences we will have together:
- A traditional English High Tea
- London Museums
- The Tower of London
- Camden Market
- Covent Garden
- Stratford-Upon-Avon Shakespeare’s Birthplace
- Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre
- Warwick Castle
- A Hop-On/Hop-Off Bus Tour
Logistics
Accommodations
We will be staying at the Royal National Hotel, located near Russell Square, just a few blocks from The British Museum.
Dining
Breakfast will be at your leisure in our hotel each morning, lunch (not included) will be on the run at markets or food courts, and dinners will be at some of London's most exciting restaurants!
Transportation
After our non-stop flight to London, we will be using the world-famous Tube (London Underground) as our primary means of transportation during the program. There will also be extensive walking and students can expect to walk several miles per day.
