    Epicenter of Global Hospitality Education

    Switzerland is considered the birthplace of hospitality education and is home to the world's first hotel management school. Furthermore, of the World's Top 10 Hospitality Schools, 7 are located in the Lake Geneva area of western Switzerland. Students will have the chance to visit several of these reknowned institutions to learn about the methodology of Swiss hospitality education through tours, workshops, and meals.

    Culinary Experiences

    Known for the iconic delicacies of cheese and chocolate, students will visit the oldest producer of chocolate in Switzerland, Maison Cailler, as well as the picturesque village of Gruyère gaining an understanding of how these treats are produced and enjoyed through workshops, tours, and interactive culinary demonstrations.

    International Baccalaureate School Visit

    Switzerland is celebrated as the birthplace of the International Baccalaureate (IB), a globally recognized educational framework renowned for its focus on academic rigor and intercultural understanding. Students will be spend a day at one of the top IB schools in the world, shadowing a peer through their IB classes and learning how international this program really is.

    Surrounded by a diverse, multilingual community, Switzerland offers a real-world model of the international collaboration and respect for cultural diversity that is the core principles of the IB philosophy.

    Other Experiences

    Students will get to experience iconic area attractions such as the Interational Olympic Museum and explore the cities of Geneva, Lausanne and Montreux.

    Accommodations

    Students will be housed in double or triple hotel rooms, each student having their own bed.

    Breakfast will be in our hotel, lunch will be on the run or in markets, and dinners will enable students to experience this unique culinary destination.

    Transportation

    After our non-stop flight to Geneva, we will be using the Swiss Rail System as our primary means of transportation during the trip. There will also be extensive walking and students can expect to walk up to 5 miles per day including over hilly terrain.
